GARDEN DEBRIS COLLECTION: Highway Louie Pascone informs us that with milder weather on the horizon, the Highway Department will resume in late March the collection of garden debris i.e. leaves, branches, etc. Such materials are collected in a separate pickup on your regular trash day twice a week. The Highway Foreman strongly encourages residents to utilize biodegradable paper bags for this purpose. Logs and branches should be no longer than four feet and tied, if possible, and left curbside for collection on the respective days as well.
The Highway Foreman also wishes to remind residents that they should not be utilizing plastic trash cans which exceed 30 gallons. Anything beyond that weight could cause physical injuries to our workers. Should you have any questions regarding sanitation collection please do not hesitate to call the DPW at 693-0117 or refer to the online Village Code.
