The village provides a variety of recreation and sports programs for residents and for students of the Ardsley school district. The community center on Center Street is open for youth activities and senior citizens programs. It is used to teach a variety of classes and welcomes community groups for meetings and other functions.
Meetings for Senior Citizens are held weekly at the Community Center. Special programs, such as trips and theater excursions, are scheduled periodically. A Senior Bus provides transportation to shopping on a regular basis. It also takes Seniors to the Embassy Club in Dobbs Ferry for lunch, Monday through Friday. For information, please call (914) 693-8012.
The Recreation Department supervises the use of all village parks. Several small parks also dot the community.
The Recreation Commission also sponsors a Halloween parade, a holiday tree lighting ceremony and programs for children and adults.
