Concrete and Steel Work: DPW Garage
Concrete and Steel Work: DPW Garage

Status: In Progress

The Ardsley Board of Trustees approved the acquisition of two parcels of property located at 220 Heatherdell Road, just across from McDowell Park, with the intention of building a highway garage on the site. The Village has addressed questions about the acquisition as well as intended use and the process. Find the provided FAQ document about the site here

In May 2020, The Village Manager signed an agreement with Calgi Contruction Company and Weston Sampson for the construction of a DPW garage facility that would include administrative and staff facilities, parks and general purpose shops, vehicle maintenance facilities, and enclosed vehicle wash facility, vehicle and equipment storage areas, storage mezzanines, a salt storage shed, fueling facilities, perimeter fencing, parking areas etc. The project will include approximately 27,500 sq. ft. of enclosed space plus 2,500 sq. ft . salt storage shed.

Update: The project is continuing to make progress through the mild winter.  The warmer weather so far this season has prevented any prolonged or substantial frost, which has allowed the project to continue to make good strides in an otherwise slow season for construction.  The water tap of the service line and insertion of valves are now complete and approved.  The footings are near completion, and construction crews continue to pour more walls every day.  Contractors will capitalize on the current weather conditions and continue to make strides in the advancement of the project.  Click here to see the slideshow documenting construction progress.
