NYU Capstone Study - Actionable Plan to Lower Municipal Vehicle Emissions

The Village of Ardsley seeks to reduce its emission by transitioning their municipal vehicle fleet into more sustainable alternatives. Environmental and health concerns are the driving forces behind Ardsley’s interest in making the transition. As a member of New York State’s Climate Smart Communities, Ardsley seeks to set emission reduction goals.

The main objectives of this capstone project included:

● Reviewing the current low-emission vehicle technologies and emission-reduction policies

● Identifying low-emission vehicles that can be utilized in Ardsley’s municipal fleet

● Crafting a fiscally responsible transition plan, including infrastructure needs
