General Department Information

The village provides a variety of recreation and sports programs for residents and for students of the Ardsley school district. The community center on Center Street is open for youth activities and senior citizens programs. It is used to teach a variety of classes and welcomes community groups for meetings and other functions.

Meetings for Senior Citizens are held weekly at the Community Center. Special programs, such as trips and theater excursions, are scheduled periodically.  For information, please call (914) 693-8012.

The Recreation Department supervises the use of all village parks. There are two large parks, Pascone Park has tennis courts, a softball field, a basketball court, soccer fields, a playground, a skatepark and picnic areas. It is the scene of concerts and movies in the park, SAYF Coalition 5-K Run, as well as the annual Garage Sale. McDowell Park has four baseball diamonds, a basketball court and a picnic pavilion. Several small parks also dot the community.

The Recreation Commission sponsors a Halloween parade, a holiday tree lighting ceremony and programs for children and adults. A complete program brochure is available at the recreation offices at 18 Center Street. Contact the Recreation Supervisor at the email or phone number below for information.
