The Rec Department has been adding new programs to the calendar every year. We have been working with the Ardsley School District to run programs with the students. Upcoming Events

Spring Egg Hunt: Saturday March 24th at the Pascone Park. Rain or shine!  Please bring your own basket.  Event for pre-school through 4th graders.  Pre-registration is required. Please call Parks & Recreation at (914) 693-8012, no later than March 22nd.


Ice Cream Social: Ardsley Parks & Recreation and Ardsley Community Policing invite everyone to celebrate the last day of school with a bowl of ice cream! Ice Cream Social will be held Thursday June 21st from 6 to 8 PM to kick off summer!  Location: Pascone Park Snack Bar (Rain location - Ardsley Community Center)

Summer Concert Series: Summer concerts are held at the Gazebo in Pascone Park.  Bring a blanket and chairs, and enjoy music under the stars from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Spring/Summer Programs

After School Chess (2 Classes):  Come and join other chess players and enjoy play, lessons and team problem solving at the Community Center.  Beginners Class: Grades 1- 4, 4:35 – 5:35 PM; Intermediate/Advanced Class: 5:40 – 6:40 PM.  Tuesdays, starting April 24th. Fee: $120 for Ardsley Residents, $140 for Non-Village.

Chess Tournament & Training Class for Advanced Players: This class will focus on more in-depth concepts and short-term and long-term planning skills. Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:30 PM starting on April 26th at the Community Center.  Fee: $220 for Ardsley Residents, $240 for Non-Village. Contact Mr. Kan for more info.

NEW!!! Decorating Desserts: A new program for K – 3rd grade.  Using cupcakes, cookies and brownies as their canvas, kids will learn to pipe icing and create perfectly delicious master pieces that are almost too beautiful to eat!  Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, starting April 25th, at the Community Center.  Fee: $120 for Ardsley Residents, $140 for Non-Village.

NEW!!! Stage struck WorkshopNew program for 3 – 5 year olds. Stage struck is a 45 minute acting workshop for ages 3 – 5 yrs.  Children are introduced to theatre through song, dance, games, nursery rhymes and fairy tales.  Fridays at the Community Center from 1:00 to 1:45 PM starting April 27th.  Fee is $100for Ardsley Village Residents, $120 for Non-Village.

NEW!!! Bizzy Girls Entrepreneur Camp: Entrepreneur and Empowerment Camp where girls create their own product line, learn bizz skills, logo and branding, advertising, signage, marketing, cost/profit.  Students hold a pop-up store at the end of camp, sell their products and keep their earnings.  This program is hands-on, project based and fun.   July 9, 10, 12 & 13 at the Community Center from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Fee is $360 for Ardsley Village Residents, $380 for Non-Village.

KidzArt:  Back by popular demand!  Students are introduced to our drawing based program where each week they create their own works of Art!  May Flowers, Animal Adventures and Sandpaper Art are just a few of project highlights this Spring. Classes on Mondays from 4 to 5 PM at the Community Center, starting April 30th.  Fee is $125 for Ardsley Village Residents, $145 for Non-Village.

Girls and Boys Basketball League​:  Basketball program at Gould Park in Dobbs Ferry!  For girls and boys going into 3rd and 4th grades, and going into 5th and 6th grades.  3rd and 4th on Mondays & Wednesdays, 5th and 6th on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Begins June 25th and runs for 6 weeks. Fee is $125 for Ardsley Resident, $145 for Non-Village.

Summer Sports Clinic:  We will be running a one-week Basketball Clinic during the week of August 6th to 10th. Clinic will be open to girls and boys ages 8 - 13, and held at the Ardsley Middle School Gym.  Fee is $140 for Ardsley Resident, $160 for Non-Village. 

NEW SUNDAY 11 AM SESSION ADDED!!! Pee-Wee Soccer:  Soccer camp for your 3 to 5 year old!  Parent or guardian must attend all sessions.  Child must be at least 3 years old.  Classes are held at 9 AM (full),10 AM (full) OR​ 11 AM (open for registration) on Sunday mornings, beginning April 22nd (no class May 27) OR at 1 PM on Friday afternoons beginning April 27th.  Fee is $120 for Ardsley Village Residents, $140 for Non-Village.

2nd Nature Skateboard Lessons:  Learn the fundamentals of skateboarding.  HELMET, ELBOW PADS & KNEE PADS must be worn.  Bring your own skateboard and safety gear.  Classes are held at 4:15 PM Wednesday afternoons beginning April 25th.   Fee is $100 for Ardsley Resident, $120 for Non-Village. 


Adult Yoga: Healing practice for Mind and Body: Yoga has proven benefits to promote good health and relaxation.  The poses are simple and easy to follow.  Come stretch, relax and calm your mind.  Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 PM at the Community Center starting May 1st. Fee is $65.00 for Ardsley Resident, $85.00 for Non-Village.


NEW!!! 20 20 20: This fun class will provide you with: 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of weights, and 20 minutes of stretch.  Come get a great workout for your overall health!  Classes held at the Ardsley Community Center (limit 20 per class) from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursdays starting May 17th.  Fee is $65.00 for Ardsley Resident, $85.00 for Non-Village 


Men's Modified Fast Pitch Softball: Games start in April, played at Pascone Park & McDowell Park. $1150 fee per team. Call (914) 693-8012 for more information.


Safety 1st Defensive Driving CourseSharpen your driving skills, lower insurance premiums & reduce violation points. Taught by Mary Ann DeToma, American Safety Inc. Classes May 2nd & May 3rd  at the Community Center from 6 to 9 PM. You must attend both sessions to receive credit ! Fee is $35.


Lifeline Screening

Your health is in your hands! For many people, getting screened is the first step in early intervention to prevent potential health issues later in life.  Thursday May 24th at the Community Center. For more information, call (888) 653-6450.
