The Rec Department has been adding new programs to the calendar every year. We have been working with the Ardsley School District to run programs with the students. Upcoming Events

Egg Decorating:  Egg decorating for 7th and 8th graders at the Community Center on Friday April 7th after school. Pre-registration required. Call (914) 693-8012 for more information.

Spring Egg Hunt: Saturday April 15th at the Pascone Park. Rain or shine!  Please bring your own basket.  Event for pre-school and 1st through 4th graders. Pre-registration is required. Please call Parks & Recreation at (914) 693-8012. 

Pizza Party: Event for 7th and 8th graders on Friday May 12th after school. Pre-registration required. Call (914) 693-8012 for more information. 

Ice Cream Social: Ardsley Parks & Recreation and Ardsley Community Policing invite everyone to celebrate the last day of school with a bowl of ice cream! Ice Cream Social will be held Thursday June 22nd from 6 to 8 PM to kick off summer!  Location: Pascone Park Snack Bar (Rain location - Ardsley Community Center)  

Summer Concert Series: Summer concerts are held at the Gazebo in Pascone Park.  Bring a blanket and chairs, and enjoy music under the stars from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Spring/Summer Programs

After School Chess (2 Classes):  Come and join other chess players and enjoy play, lessons and team problem solving at the Community Center.  Beginners Class: Grades 1-4, 4:30 – 5:30 PM; Intermediate/Advanced Class: 5:40 – 6:40 PM.  Tuesdays, starting May 2nd. Fee: $120 for Ardsley Residents, $140 for Non-Village.
NEW!!! Chess Tournament & Training Class for Advanced Players: This class will focus on more in-depth concepts and short-term and long-term planning skills. Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:30 PM starting on May 11th. at the Community Center.  Fee: $220 for Ardsley Residents, $240 for Non-Village. Contact Mr. Kan for more info.
Lil Cooks:  This program for 3, 4, & 5 yr olds introduces children to the art of cooking and baking hands - on.  Children prepare, cook and eat their own creations.  It takes place on Fridays at the Comm. Center starting April 28th from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Fee is  $135 for Ardsley Residents, $155 for Non-Village.
NEW!!! Invention Convention: Program for 1st to 5th grade. "Necessity is the mother of invention." Did you know that several modern conveniences were invented by NASA? Discover how things we use every day came about. Explore how something goes from a rocket ship to your home! Mondays from 4 to 5 PM at the Community Center starting May 1st (no class May 29). Fee is $130 for Ardsley Village Residents, $150 for Non-Village.
NEW!!! Let's Pretend30 minute program for 3 & 4 year olds and their grown-ups - music, movement, storytelling & lots of pretend. Fun for everyone! Thursdays at the Community Center from 11:00 to 11:30 AM starting May 4th Fee is $50 for Ardsley Village Residents, $70 for Non-Village.
NEW!!! Out of Book: 45 minute program for 3 to 5 year olds, every class starts with a story. Parents/caregivers and children create art based on the tale & class ends with songs & movement. Thursdays at the Community Center from 1:00 to 1:45 PM starting May 4th Fee is $60 for Ardsley Village Residents, $80 for Non-Village.
Red Bull Mini-Wee Soccer:  Soccer camp for your 3 or 4 year old!  Parent or guardian must attend all sessions.  Child must be 3 years old.  Classes are held at 9 AM on Sunday mornings, beginning April 23rd (no class May 28) OR at 1 PM on Friday afternoons beginning April 28th (on class May 26).  Fee is $100 for Ardsley Village Residents, $120 for Non-Village.
Tennis Clinic:  Learn to play tennis at Pascone Park with Ayo!  Tennis clinics will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for 6 weeks.  Classes are divided into age groups: ages 5-7, 8-10, & 11-teens; Adult lessons are at 12PM & 1PM.  Classes begin on Saturday, April 22nd (no class May 27) and Sunday, April 23rd (no class May 28). Fee is $100 for Ardsley Resident, $120 for Non-Village.
2nd Nature Skateboard LessonsLearn the fundamentals of skateboarding.  HELMET, ELBOW PADS & KNEE PADS must be worn.  Bring your own skateboard and safety gear.  Classes are held at 4:15 PM Wednesday afternoons beginning April 26th.   Fee is $100 for Ardsley Resident, $120 for Non-Village. 
Girls and Boys Basketball LeagueBasketball program at Gould Park in Dobbs Ferry!  For girls and boys going into 3rd and 4th grades, and going into 5th and 6th grades.  3rd and 4th on Mondays & Wednesdays, 5th and 6th on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Begins July 10th and runs for 5 weeks. Fee is $125 for Ardsley Resident, $145 for Non-Village.
Summer Sports Clinics:  We will be running two one-week clinics during the week of August 7th to 11th.  Basketball will be open to girls and boys ages 8 - 13, and held at Concord Road Elementary School Gym.  Volleyball is open to girls entering 7th to 9th grade, and will be held at Concord Road Elementary School Gym. Fee is $130 for Ardsley Resident, $150 for Non-Village. 
NEW!!!  Miller's Summer Basketball Jam: Program for grades 5th through 9th. Camp will focus on basic fundamentals. Station and drill work with skill competition. Fun & exciting learning experience for all! Camp at Concord Road Gym from August 14th to August 18th from 9AM to 3PM daily. Fee is $175 for Ardsley Resident, $195 for Non-Village. 
Adult Yoga: Healing practice for Mind and Body: Yoga has proven benefits to promote good health and relaxation.  The poses are simple and easy to follow.  Come stretch, relax and calm your mind.  Tuesdays from 7:45 to 8:45 PM at the Community Center starting April 25th.  Ardsley Residents $65.00, Non-Village $85.00.
Adult Zumba: Hate to work out, bored of the same old exercise?  Come and work out without feeling like you're exercising!  Zumba dance is an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance.  Zumba dance feels like a party every time!  Burn 700 to 1000 calories per class.  Classes held at the Ardsley Community Center (limit 20 per class) from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursdays starting April 27th.  Ardsley Residents $65.00, Non-Village $85.00.
Men's Modified Fast Pitch Softball: Games start in April. played at Pascone Park & McDowell Park. $1100 fee per team. Call (914) 693-8012 for more information.
Safety 1st Defensive Driving CourseSharpen your driving skills, lower insurance premiums & reduce violation points. Taught by Mary Ann DeToma, American Safety Inc. Classes May 24th & May 25th at the Community Center from 6 to 9 PM. You must attend both sessions to receive credit ! Fee is $35.
Lifeline Screening: Getting screened is the first step in early intervention to prevent potential health issues later in life. Register today! Screening held at the Community Center on Friday June 2nd from 8 AM to 5 PM. Call (888) 653-6450 for more information.
