The American Red Cross kicks off the Sound the Alarm, Save a Life Campaign

Home fires claim seven lives every day, but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half. That’s why the American Red Cross is rallying volunteers to install
free smoke alarms nationwide, as part of our Sound the Alarm events.

If you need new smoke detectors in your home, volunteers from the Red Cross will install one smoke alarm in every bedroom and on every floor of your home for free, as well as
create critical fire escape plans and other fire safety information with your family. To sign up to receive these services, click here
