Great Hudson River Estuary Fish Count ~ Saturday, August 6th !
The Fish Count will take place at 11 different sites
along the banks and piers of the Hudson River,
including Habirshaw Park in Yonkers from 1:30 to 3 PM.
Fresh upriver and salty at New York City, tidal Hudson and watershed are home to more than
200 fish species. See Fish Count Results 2012 to 2021.
During this family-friendly event, participants
will explore the amazing variety of slippery, wriggly, and fascinating creatures hidden below the river’s surface. After naturalists display the catch,
fish are released back to the river.
The Great Hudson River Estuary Fish Count is free.
